It's Already Alright!

The first time I heard my former pastor utter the words, “It’s already alright,” I thought he had said the most profound thing ever. The concept that regardless of how I felt, everything was already okay in God's eyes was my main take away from the sermon, and I have carried those words with me to this day.
I think it was so profound for me because I was assuming God was in just as much a panic as I was and He was trying to figure out my colossal mess. Somehow those words, “It’s already alright,” made me realize that God was not trying to figure it out for me, but indeed, He had already worked it out for me.
The fact that it’s already alright can be supported in Isaiah 45:2. “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron.”
Have you ever tried to make a crooked place straight? Have you ever tried to break brass or cut into iron without a special tool? Well, if you haven’t been able to do it, there’s a good reason for that. We can’t do it with our natural might. But, God can, and He does! He loves us and protects us each day, and because of that we can rest assured that, “It’s already alright.”
