Affirmations of Confirmation!

Let’s face it. As much as we’d like our friends and family members to be able to be there for us when we need them most, that’s just not always possible. Regardless of the circumstances, we have to learn to encourage ourselves and the best ways to do that is through reading God’s Word, and speaking positive affirmations over our lives. Affirmations help us to be encouraged and believe that God has a good plan for our lives, and that everything will work out the way God has planned it. Even if God’s plan isn’t necessarily our plan.
Here are some affirmations that I say when I need that extra encouragement that I just can’t seem to get from anywhere else.
I can overcome because Jesus heals. (Side note: I started saying this one while walking around my college campus. I’m thankful that even back then God was keeping me and helping me to encourage myself.)
I am the righteousness of Christ Jesus. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
I will get through this.
The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want. (Psalm 23)
God will never leave me nor forsake me. (Hebrews 13:5)
I am God’s baby. He holds me in the palm of his hand. (This one is so comforting. I can even feel Him holding me.)
Be healed!
I will fear no evil. (Psalm 23)
I shall reap if I faint not. (Galatians 6:9)
Lord, You are my strength!
Lord, You are my peace.
Your Will be done.
There are so many more that I could list, but I will stop here. I challenge you today to speak affirmations of strength, abundant life, and peace over yourself. I would also like for you to think of the affirmations that you already say or create some new ones, and list them in the Comments below. Let’s encourage ourselves and each other!
