Why Are You Waiting?

Procrastination is a big dream killer. God created us all with something special inside of us whether you know what it is, or if you're still trying to figure it out. If you know what your gift is, are you using it? If not, why not? If you don't know what your gift is, invest the time to figure it out! The bottom line is that we are only given a few days here on this Earth in light of eternity, and we might as well get the most out of each day.
When I was younger, I often heard older people say something that made sense for them because they were older, but it really didn't affect me at the moment, so I kind of disregarded it in a way. They would say, " You can't get back your time."
Those are such weighty words now that I'm older and can truly understand that the time I wasted with the wrong people or doing the wrong things, or all the times I didn't work on enhancing my gift can't be given back to me. That time is lost for good.
With that being said, there's absolutely nothing I can do about the past, but I can make the most of each day now and in the future. I can use the gifts God gave me to encourage and help others.
Ephesians 5:15-17 reminds us, “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”
We must ask God for His Will in our lives and find out what He would like us to do act as His Hands and Feet on this Earth, and then we must get busy doing it.
Today, think about what you’re good at doing? Is it fashion? Is it starting your own business? Is it writing? Is it speaking? Is it helping others? Whatever it is, ask yourself, “Why are you waiting?” If you don’t have a good reason, then stop waiting and do it!
