Clinging to Faith

Have you ever had a time when one bad thing after another kept happening? That's been my story lately, and I don’t understand why. Although it's a little frustrating, those are the times that make us press harder into God for relief, reassurance, and rescue. At times, I’ve felt like I was figuratively clinging to the edge of a cliff, and with one false move, I would fall off. I wondered what I could do to stop it, and I also wondered WHEN it would stop. Have you felt that way lately?
The beauty of having a relationship with God is that although we don’t know when the problems will stop, we can rest assured that it WILL stop. God does have an expiration date for all of our pain and problems. Pain and problems must leave when He says enough is enough!
Instead of clinging to the edge of a cliff, I've been clinging to these scriptures to get me through, and I thought I’d share them with you in case you’re dealing with something today that you wish would end soon.
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want” (Psalm 23: 1, NIV)
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with song I praise Him.” (Psalm 28:7, NIV)
“…The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17, KJB)
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14, NIV)
“We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for all who believes, no matter who we are.” (Romans 3:22, NLT)
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…” (Ephesians 3:20, NKJV)
“…in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37, NIV)
“In His kindness God called you to share in His eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation.” (1 Peter 5:10, NLT)
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7, ESV)
“…but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31, NIV)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:6, NIV)
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28, NIV)
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (I Thessalonians 5:16-18, NIV)
These verses help us to remember that trouble is temporary. We are reminded that God is still gracious, and He will deliver us from whatever problem we may have. Keep these verses close to your heart and cling to them when you feel like you’re on the verge of letting go of the cliff that you’re figuratively clinging to. Today, let’s P.U.S.H (Pray Until Something Happens)! Breakthrough is on the way!
